Carrie White is a shy, troubled teenage girl with the unwanted and often uncontrollable gift of telekenisis, the ability to move any objects by mere thought which is triggered at any time by Carrie's heightened emotional state of anger or fear. Carrie is frequently harassed at her high school by wealthy and snobbish classmates and even more at home by her demented, Christian fundamentalist fanatic mother Margaret. One classmate, Sue, feels compassion for Carrie and gets her boyfriend Tommy to asks Carrie to the senior prom. But another classmate, Chris, is banned from the prom and plots a cruel prank against Carrie at the prom involving a bucket of pig's blood which pushes the unstable Carrie completely over the edge and uses her telekinetic powers to turn the prom into a bloodbath of her own, written by: Matthew Patay, (imdb.com).

  3. THIS CHICK IS BRUTAL IN THE BEGINNING OF THE MOVIE, AND BRUTAL AT THE END. SHE SEEMS REALLY NICE AND GENUINE THROUGH THE MIDDLE. I MUST ADMIT....I FOUND THAT A BIT CONFUSING.

  4. IT IS THE CHARACTER SUE THAT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME. IN THE BEGINNING SHE IS MAKING FUN OUT OF CARRIE, AND IN THE END SHE COMES ACROSS AS A REAL BITCH. BUT OTHERWISE SHE IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN EMPATHETIC CHARACTER, WHO CARES ABOUT CARRIE.

  5. I don't remember girls being so cruel. Not in high school...maybe in grade 7...but not in grade 10, 11 or 12. Is it just me? I find the girls in this movie to be unrealistically horrible. Grade 12? I graduated in '84. Have things changed that much since then?
